This drone is a small quadcopter with 720p camera. Here you get a lot of quality for a small price. The video is streamed live over Wi-Fi, and you can control the drone in FPV mode conveniently.
The small drone model is small but can be folded down to fit in any pocket. In this report, we will give you a little more information and suggest what to expect from a value of around € 50.
DROCON NINJA FPV drone specifications and design
For many drone pilots, optics are a decisive selling point. Oftentimes, tech is bought for its cool design, but sometimes the looks are deceiving. However, with Dracon Ninja, you can be sure to get reasonable performance for the price. It looks good and is also technically eye-catching.
The blue and black design has a modern look and a high quality impression when folded or loaded.
An extensive sensor system ensures perfect balance during flight. Drone control is child’s play, especially for beginners. This way, you can take great pictures and videos from a bird’s eye view without any special flying skills and view them later.
The drone can be connected to your smartphone, and there is an airplane mode where you control the Drocon Ninja only through the gravity sensor built into the cell phone. If the smartphone is tilted forward, the drone flies forward, tilts backward, backward and to the sides, etc. Alternatively, you can control the remote-controlled aircraft via the touch field with virtual joysticks!
However, we recommend that you only fly in almost no wind, or use the drone indoors, as gusts of wind can knock Dracon Ninja out of the way due to their small size and weight.
You can surprise your friends and acquaintances with cool 3D flips. It can be done with the touch of a button, it is pre-programmed so to speak, and the drone is fully stabilized after a stunt with a 6-axis gyroscopic system, so you don’t need to acquire any special flying skills to do spectacular flips and somersaults in the air.
It is also equipped with a state-of-the-art barometer that measures altitude and automatically maintains a stable aircraft altitude. This guarantees you even more stability during the flight.
You can also control the Drocon Ninja FPV in headless mode. This means that the drone flies forward, backward, left and right regardless of the position of its “muzzle”, depending on the position of your handle on the remote control or how you tilt your smartphone.
This makes it easier for beginners to start flying because you don’t need to rethink the controls. You can take off and land the drone using a dedicated take off / landing button, and you have the ability to choose between different speed levels.
As mentioned at the beginning of the report, the drone has a small 720p camera built into it. With it, you can shoot movies at up to 30 frames per minute. It also features a 120 degree wide-angle lens to capture as much of the environment as possible.
Images are transmitted directly to your smartphone via Wi-Fi after you’ve downloaded the app and connected your device to the Drocon Ninja FPV drone. Live images and videos are then saved to the smartphone and can be controlled. For example, you can send them to your friends or share them on social media and let other people participate in your flying skills.
With the drone, you can fly up to 80 meters, but, unfortunately, the signal from the remote control does not go further. Wi-Fi transmission only goes up to 50 meters, and then, unfortunately, it is cut off! However, the Drocon Ninja is no longer as visible because it is so small. It was designed for shorter distances, but for spectacular flight maneuvers.
It has a 450mAh 7.4V battery which lasts for a maximum flight time of 5 to 7 minutes. Unfortunately, you have to charge the battery in 60 minutes. So the ratio of flight time to charging time is not very good. However, the flight battery can be easily replaced. Replacing the battery is very easy and you can have almost unlimited fun with multiple flight batteries without charging your small quadcopter! Additional batteries only cost a few euros!
