|Overall rating 4/5|
Another fun mini drone is the entry-level HSP Himoto 4.5-channel quadcopter. Flying around the apartment with him is very fun. He does a lot of tricks and is pretty darn small.
Despite its small size, there is a lot of technology under the hood of the copter. We will provide more details in this report.
Hi-tech mini drones are becoming more and more popular, mainly because they have more and more advanced features, are extremely inexpensive, and are especially suitable for beginners.
HSP Himoto has some special features. He has a “home – return” mode and a “headless” mode. Typically, these features are only for large drone models.
Size and design
Admittedly, the design is a bit like a toy drone, but with the size it is no longer noticeable. Its dimensions are only 13.5 x 13.5 x 2.8 cm, making it one of the smallest mini drones on the market.
The model has a fairly solid rotor guard, which ensures that even beginners, who probably crash the drone several times, will not damage Himoto’s HSP.
In addition, the material of the rotor blades is quite elastic: if any object falls into the rotor barrel, it will simply get stuck or fly off the blades.
The rest of the body is also extremely solid, we are amazed at the solid structure, here you really have to deal with a mini drone that will withstand almost all accidents.
No camera, but cool flight modes
Unfortunately this drone has no camera and therefore no FPV mode. But a bunch of cool flight modes.
One of them is headless fashion. Here you can control the drone regardless of the position of the drone.
Assuming the right stick is pushed forward, the aircraft will usually follow the direction of flight according to its muzzle, so if the aircraft is pointing towards you and you are flying forward, the aircraft will fly towards you.
In headless mode, things are different, here the drone will fly away from you, although its nose is pointed at you and you push the control stick forward.
This feature means you don’t need to rethink.
The home-return mode is really cool too, in which you just have to press a button on the remote and the drone will return to the starting point.
Versatile 3D tricks, including somersaults, somersaults and loops, will give you tons of fun. You do not need any special skills to do this, because the drone does it with one press of a button, then returns to its original position and holds it automatically.
Battery and flight time
Unfortunately, the maximum capacity of the HSP Himoto battery is 150mAh at 3.7V. This is a Li-Po battery.
Accordingly, the flight time is short, if you really accelerate and accelerate through the apartment, you sometimes only get 5 minutes of flight.
HSP Himoto mini drone is equipped with the latest 6-axis gyroscope technology and is fully automatically stabilized in flight. However, it lacks GPS and altitude barometer.
Even after impressive 3D tricks that can be started at the touch of a button, it automatically returns to its original position, that is, to an automatic hover state.
