All commercial drone pilots receive a Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) with a Small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS) rating from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) after passing the Unmanned Aircraft General- Small (UAG) aeronautical knowledge exam.
To enjoy all the benefits of our special, 'PRO' level, VETERAN Membership, you must possess a Veteran ID AND a valid Remote Pilot Certificate. Both will need to be verified by Drone PRO Zone before you can become a Veteran member.
If you do not have a Veteran ID AND a valid RPC with a sUAS rating, issued in your name, by the FAA ... DO NOT APPLY.
Each application must include copies of the following, clearly visible, documents:
- Proof of Veteran Status - Military ID, VA Health Card, DD-214
- Current Driver's License (or government issued, photo ID with your address)
- Remote Pilot Certificate with sUAS rating - front and back
- Airman Details Report - from FAA Airmen Inquiry online search
If your RPC was issued more than two years ago, the following document is also requested:
- Part 107 sUAS Recurrent Certificate - most recent copy
The criteria for approval is simple:
- Permanent details in each document must match; and
- Details associated with the RPC number in the FAA's Airmen Database must match the documents.
This is exclusively for U.S. Veterans that have a Remote Pilot Certificate with a sUAS rating.
All others should select from one of our standard membership offers.
If, for any reason, your application is rejected, you may submit additional documents for consideration within one (1) month from the send date of your first rejection email notice (Rejection Date). If a new RPC is provided that was issued after your Rejection Date, a separate application, with payment of any applicable fees, will be required prior to further review.
