All commercial drone pilots receive a Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) with a Small Unmanned Aerial System (sUAS) rating from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) after passing the Unmanned Aircraft General- Small (UAG) aeronautical knowledge exam.
To enjoy all the benefits of a 'PRO' level, CHARTER Membership, you must possess a valid RPC and apply for verification by Drone PRO Zone.
If you do not have a valid RPC with a sUAS rating, issued in your name by the FAA ... DO NOT APPLY.
Each application must include copies of the following, clearly visible, documents:
- Current Driver's License (or government issued, photo ID with your address)
- Remote Pilot Certificate with sUAS rating - front and back
- Airman Details Report - from FAA Airmen Inquiry online search
If your RPC was issued more than two years ago, the following document is also requested:
- Part 107 sUAS Recurrent Certificate - most recent copy
The criteria for approval is simple:
- Permanent details in each document must match; and
- Details associated with the RPC number in the FAA's Airmen Database must match the documents.
If, for any reason, your application is rejected, you may submit additional documents for consideration within one (1) month from the send date of your first rejection email notice (Rejection Date). If a new RPC is provided that was issued after your Rejection Date, a separate application, with payment of any applicable fees, will be required prior to further review.
