In today’s test report, I would like to introduce you to another quadcopter from the renowned manufacturer MJX. The MJX Bugs B7 was designed and manufactured according to the proven model as a folding rotor blade quadcopter and therefore in line with the touring drone design diagram.

Futuristic and aerodynamic at the same time, flat body, on which the cam and rotor blades are located, are located in 4 corners. From a purely visual point of view, a tried and tested model, in which, however, many technologies are hidden.

In the MJX Bugs B7, of course, we found GPS functionality as well as a 4K camera, optical flow positioning, brushless motors to drive the propellers on the rotor blades, and more.

MJX Bugs B7: features and details

As mentioned at the beginning, the manufacturer of this drone is MJX. A well-known and well-known manufacturer of small drones. Model or aircraft name – Bugs B7.

Considering the requirements for this model, user skills and the level of technical equipment or equipment, we can already classify and classify the MJX Bugs B7 drone as a professional aircraft.

The model is only available in trendy black. It also provides good visibility in flight against a bright sky or horizon. The operating mode is the so-called mode 2, i.e. left-hand mode.

We also put the quadcopter on a scale and were able to measure 249 grams. Since the drone weighs less than 250g, just like the DJI Mavic Mini, in theory we don’t need a drone badge.

What technologies does the drone use and how does a helicopter fly in the air?

Of course, after unpacking the plane, we immediately focused on the question of what the MJX Bugs B7 can and has to offer in the air. From a purely technical point of view, it has at least one of the best prerequisites for an overall reasonably convincing flight show.

The plane convinced us of a dizzying climb speed of no less, believe it or not, 3 meters per second! The maximum possible descent rate at which a drone can move through the sky or rise from the sky is in practice 2 meters per second.

We tested the drone in the air and were able to determine that impressive, even breathtaking flight maneuvers can be performed with these technical parameters, provided that the person on the ground has deep flying skills.

But that’s not all! We managed to set a maximum flight speed of 32 km / h. After that, the MJX Bugs B7 drone can stay in the air for no more than 15 minutes (net flight time).

The maximum flight altitude is also impressive. In the test, we were able to reach the full 120 meters! However, if you need to limit the range for the MJX Bugs B7 drone, you can set it relatively easily through the corresponding app and thus limit the maximum range so as not to lose signal.

Then, of course, we thoroughly tested this drone in strong or headwinds, in practice, in flight, and here we were convinced by the good characteristics of the aircraft.

During the tests, the manufacturer’s information was confirmed, according to which the MJX Bugs B7 drone is able to demonstrate wind resistance just below level 4.

Not even real strong gusts of wind could knock the small plane off course, let alone crash.

Technically, when testing this aircraft in the air, quite a lot was possible.These include flying up and down, forward and backward, turning left and right, holding altitude, taking off and landing with just one button, flying to a waypoint and automatic return in the event of signal loss in the aircraft.

Other interesting maneuvers that we were able to perform during the drone tests: “Follow me”, “Positioning by optical flow” and “Point of interest”.

We were also very impressed with the range of accuracy with which the drone could be airborne from the ground. Horizontally it was 0.5 meters, and 0.3 meters vertically with maximum deviations from the stopping point. So here are the values ‚Äč‚Äčthat turned out to be very convincing in the test.

The MJX Bugs B7 drone is powered by a 1306 2750kV brushless electric motor. This relatively inexpensive electric motor, however, has proven to be extremely powerful in testing to provide the drone with impressive lift, especially when climbing.

It has also been shown during testing that the unit generates a background noise of about 20 dB. Other technical features of the aircraft that we discovered during the tests were GPS, optical flow and barometer.

The remote control also works on this drone on the known 2.4GHz frequency. During the test, we determined the maximum possible distance to signal loss, equal to 300 meters. As mentioned, this distance can be shortened using the app. If the control signal on the aircraft is completely lost, it is not lost, but returned automatically.

Transmitter Batteries – 2 x 1.5 V (AA) lithium batteries. This allows a maximum of 12 hours of operation, as shown by tests. Finally, it should be mentioned that the MJX Bugs B7 drone was considered and classified as a professional aircraft, but during the tests it was very easy to fly, maneuver and move in the air.

Of course, we were not least interested in the test of the MJX Bugs B7 drone, and then the camera installed in the aircraft. What can he do and what does he do in practical flights? As far as the camera is concerned, the MJX Bugs B7 drone is originally modern or advanced in camera technology.

The plane has a 4K 5G WiFi camera. The bundled app is called M RC PRO.

Traveling drone MJX Bugs B7 impressed in the tests with a large number of impressive technical characteristics, but especially powerful maneuvering, climb and descent, as well as other maneuvers that can be performed with the device at impressive speed in the air.

However, it is very easy to control and maneuver.

The camera can be characterized and classified as technically advanced with 4K performance. The drone is currently priced at just under $ 220. In German-speaking countries, such as Amazon, the model can be ordered for just under 170 euros (free shipping).
